10 Local Game Devs Just Got Funding To Build Their Dream Game

The Intellectual Property Creators’ Challenge or IPCC2018 has just given out its first round of funding to 10 local game developers, each receiving RM10,000 to build their prototype and stand to win another RM50,000.

The winners with the judges and reps from MDEC.


All this is courtesy of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)’s efforts to grow the local gaming industry. The 10 recipients are:

‘Jumping Meow’ by Gamelobb Berhad

 

‘Showdown 2.0’ by ForLoop Studios Sdn. Bhd.

 

‘Super Girls Manager’ by Xhinobi Sdn. Bhd.

 

‘The Art of Luna’ by Double Z Studio

 

Ageless by Bala Vicknesh A/L S.Ravichanthiran

 

‘Project Front’ by Ifio Studio

 

‘Galaxy Titan’ by Pixels Tail Sdn. Bhd.

 

‘Rokudo’ by Heaven Tales Entertainment

 

‘Triberout’ by Creative Instinct Game House

And ‘Grand Theft Dungeon’ by Spacepup Entertainment who could not make it for the prize giving ceremony.

These game devs had to pitch to a panel of judges that comprised of top game makers and gaming media. With money in hand, they’re now tasked with creating a kickass prototype in order to win RM50,000 to further help make their game a reality.
