Tom Clancy’s ‘The Division’ Adds A Free Weekend, New Major Update & Content

By Editorial team | December 7, 2017

Ubisoft has just announced a free weekend for all players for Tom Clancy’s The Division on all platforms – PS4, Xbox One and PC, in conjunction of the release of their major Update 1.8 “Resistance” which adds many new features to the game on December 5th.

The free weekend reigns 7 – 10 December and players will gain access to 3 free DLCs available only for Season Pass holders. Among the new additions to the game is the West Side Pier which expands a new accessible area for players to explore. West Side Pier will add a new Team Deathmatch mode, 4v4 PvP with the goal of reaching the first 20 kills to win.

A new PvE mode, Resistance adds a traditional wave survival mode with teams of four players battling to survive as long as they can against enemies, to get greater rewards.

The game will also be discounted up to 70% throughout the entire event, so this will be the best opportunity to get it now to experience the new Update 1.8 with your friends. Tom Clancy’s The Division takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic that swept throughout New York City on Black Friday and pits players in a harsh and hostile world where one must fight for survival.
